I printed a complete set of gridfinity bins for my desk drawer. It’s so much better than the drawer of chaos.

How do all these people happen to have a desk drawer that has internal width that is exactly a multiple of a gridfinity grid?

I just downscalled a row into 90% so them can perfectly fit the bins.

Weird you shouldn’t have had to with Alex, 7 grid wide fits perfectly. You do need a spacer in the back but it’s already difficult to utilize the very back anyways

I have Alex drawers, these are Alex drawers, we all have Alex drawers.

Yup, all hail the Alex drawer.

I don't know who Alex is, but why does everyone have his drawers, and why are they sized exactly to the Gridfinity grid?

Fun answer: Alex is the all knowing carpenter that has come to save us from our disorganisation woes.

Fun but true answer: Alex is at Ikea

Luck I guess! The drawer I'm printing stuff for now has a slight gap in the back and on one side.

For others with Alex drawers there are also these bins made specifically for it.

Did you have to print the bottoms of these organizers as well?

[-] BartyDeCanter 1 points 1 year ago

Now that I've completely filled the drawer with the organizers, I realize I probably didn't have to. But they were nice to have as I was filling it up and when I only had it partially done.
