Three months ago on Hexbear: What’s the right way to do e-readers in this year of our lord 2024
Ty, my searches weren’t drawing up much.
I use Kobo ones, I had a Touch years ago and currently use a Clara HD, the software isn't too fast (though maybe that's different on newer models) but has always been pretty reliable for me, even on the Touch despite its age
Something I like is that it's integrated with Pocket (the Mozilla-owned service) and can automatically sync articles you add to your list to the e-reader
If you find your kobo ereader sloe you can install koreader on it. Koreader is much more snappy than the stock interface.
Anything that can run koreader without jumping through too many hoops is a fine choice. I hear good things about Boox but I haven't been able to afford one yet. Note Air 3 C is a good bet especially if you like to read comics or pdfs.
