I am at Walmart and need to know the exact length of my old charging cable so I don't end up with a shorter one.

1M ≈ 1yard ≈ 3feet 1Kg ≈ 2lb

You can almost basically just convert yards to meters directly. For kilos just 2x in your head for easy math. 2.2 is the actual multiplier, but for estimations, 2x works for most cases.

A quick search for your Mac on Apple’s tech specs site would probably yield faster results for you.

And just to be pedantic, if it’s a newer MacBook, then the included cable is a “MagSafe” cable, which has USB-C on one end and a magnetic rectangle to plug in to charge. (You can still do regular USB-C charging if you want)
