(this was in the 90s I believe)
I thought to myself, "there's gotta be some nerd who has meticulously catalogued every episode of The Howard Stern Show," and sure enough, there is a glorious Web 1.0 site doing just that:
Jerry Seinfeld Jr. Answering Machine Message. 09/03/07. 8:40am
The next segment, from 1997, was Howard calling a gay movie theater line to hear the movies that were being shown that week. Then they played a segment from April 5, 1991 where Howard and Gilbert Gottfried called Jerry Seinfeld's answering machine and left a couple of very long messages for him as Jerry Seinfeld Jr.
God, I miss the old Internet. Look at this glorious homepage:
- Instantaneous load
- Zero JavaScript
- No cookies
- The entire page consists of a 5.5 kB HTML file and three static GIFs comprising another 11.3 kB, plus a final kB for the favicon
- The only advertisement is a tiny unobtrusive Amazon affiliate icon
