Yes sir, I did not know... thought it was satire O.O

[-] Maven@lemmy.zip 29 points 2 months ago

Oof. I'm glad you found the truth and got out quickly.

When did stonetoss use that name too?

[-] Maven@lemmy.zip 41 points 2 months ago

He didn't... It's a name used to identify him without actually crediting the name so people who don't know him can't get curious and Google him.

You can also go by Hans Kristian Graebener resident of Spring, Texas.

Failed, time to see how bad this is

"Call him Voldemort, Harry. Always use the proper name for things. Fear of a name increases fear of the thing itself."

Don't avoid the name, DISCREDIT the name. Someone finds a comic that's funny? Link his Neo-Nazi work so they know the artist.

"Refusing" to even say the name with the same stupid unoriginal phrase is not only useless and counterproductive, it's weak. Search "Pebble Yeet" and guess what you find.

Semi-related, are there Leftwingers that are righties unwilling to even say the name of?

Arguably Joe Biden, they've been calling him Brandon for years. But they make up stupid little nicknames for everyone.

[-] Daxtron2@startrek.website 1 points 2 months ago

I'd say Brandon is more of an in-joke/jargon/shibboleth to identify each other.

[-] pyre@lemmy.world 9 points 2 months ago

who even finds that dumbass humorous

Some of them are pretty funny. It's rare but it happens. Some are ironically funny because he almost makes a valid point while trying to make a racist one. Like fingertips on lucidity.

Somehow I don't think directing extra traffic to Voldemort's website and increasing his ad revenue was a concern.

[-] rotopenguin@infosec.pub 11 points 2 months ago

It's been a while since I've seen Sinfest, I wonder what that delightful little comic of yesteryear is up to now...

[-] TexasDrunk@lemmy.world 7 points 2 months ago

What in the actual fuck happened there?!?

[-] taiyang@lemmy.world 4 points 2 months ago

I'm glad someone brings that one up. Oof.
