Something I've learned with Stephen King: If you remember it as a TV special, it probably was. I swear, he just had a thing for them, for a time.
I thought Tommyknockers was decent. Definitely above the second attempt at The Stand, but below the first run. Definitely above Langoliers.
The Langoliers movie was hilarious, though.
Langoliers is the kind of movie that's better enjoyed by watching it while stoned or drunk with friends
