Now there's a blast from the past - I remember this doing the rounds back in the day when you had to figure out the right codecs to watch something.
I was born after the event, but when I was in cub scouts, long before the internet, one of my fellow scouts' parents worked for the news station that shot this piece and brought a VHS of it to a meeting once. It became a legend at our school to the extent that the parent later gave a copy to the school to show to kids so they wouldn't be left out of the fun.

You know someone pitched the idea as a bullshit excuse to use a bunch of dynamite and everyone jumped on the bandwagon. For anyone who does not know, Florence OR is this little seaside town with not that much going on.
Some great off road and camping sites though. Love Florence.
