lol, downvotes (and upvotes) only have meaning for sorting and on some clients posts starting collapsed or so. why would you retaliate for someone thinking your post should be placed a bit less prominently?

if you "stand up" for something as irrelevant as a downvote, you'll just exhaust yourself before the real challenges come up.
