In the Kansas state capitol is one of my favorite paintings of all time. It's a mural by John Curry depicting John Brown during the "Bleeding Kansas" era. For those who haven't seen it, I give you Tragic Prelude:

Fuckin rocking that hair too. Give him some mirrored boxy sunglasses and a Lazer gun and I'll follow him to a war on mars.

I need to get some of that John Brown strength of conviction.
