Edit: I can see I'm being down voted - I suppose because it is nicer to think the folks we associate with politically wouldn't mistreat women. But as a woman, I can tell you that political affiliation is not a good enough way to determine whether a man is likely to mistreat you. Al Franken took some unfortunate pictures while a woman slept. David Wu of Oregon resigned after being accused of making unwanted sexual advances toward a fundraiser's daughter. Eric Massa of New York resigned to avoid an ethics investigation into his admitted groping and tickling of multiple male staffers. Harvey Weinstein was a huge donor to the Democrats. It is safest to say misbehaving men are the reason women choose the bear.
