Signaling, showmanship, are used in specific scenarios. Your photos reference nature, where it's used as part of natural selection. Good showmanship implies good genes, but it can also have super stimulation effects.

Everything has to live in a feedback loop, is it fit for purpose.

Have a good core of people around you, enjoy their company, enjoy life, don't worry about the small things.
