If it doesn't play on Deck, I don't want it. Civ isn't the kind of game I play when I have access to my full library.

  • Might not play on Deck
  • Denuvo on launch day
  • $180-ish Canadian for the full version with all the add-ons.

This is gonna be the first Civ as far back as I can remember that I probably won't bother picking up on launch day TBH, which is sad.

That's super interesting to me. I'm pretty much the opposite. I tried civ 6 on the deck but it failed to trigger me going into hyperfocus like it does on desktop

I only really play with my partner these days, so firing it up on 2 decks and getting cozy in bed together is a good way to pass the time.

And full Steam Deck compatibility at launch, right?

Oh, for fuck's sake. Just let me fucking play your game, Sid. Stop fucking around.

That would have been a Take2 decision.

Denuvo at launch so always online BS for an offline game. Thanks Firaxis!

Why do studios seem to insist on sticking "SSD required" on their AAA games?

That's not getting into the clusterfuck that's the pricing and denuvo
