Surely Biden & Co. will stop all money and weapons now, right?

[-] jonne@infosec.pub 20 points 4 weeks ago

Even if they stop now, Trump will just restart it after inauguration. They should've done it a year ago.

[-] Saleh@feddit.org -1 points 4 weeks ago

If the US stopped the flow of weapons and money right now, Israel wouldnt survive 3 months.

[-] jonne@infosec.pub 6 points 4 weeks ago

Which is when Trump gets in office. They could probably manage if they have a guarantee from him that they'll restart deliveries. It might just delay the genociding a smidge.

[-] Mubelotix@jlai.lu 5 points 4 weeks ago

Many other countries provide them weapons

[-] Saleh@feddit.org 6 points 4 weeks ago

US 60%, Germany 30% If the US stopped, Germany would quickly follow suit. Without the protection of big buddy US they would get scared to end up in Den-Hague. Also other deliveries like UKs F-35 parts would be worth little without the US main deliveries. The moment the US stops supporting Israel the support of other countries would crumble.

God I hope they will. Genuinely, as an european, I really hope we hold germany accountable for this

[-] lennivelkant@discuss.tchncs.de 6 points 4 weeks ago

As a German, yes, please

[-] Sanctus@lemmy.world 10 points 4 weeks ago

Why? They already lost. They're the type to just torpedo it all the way, its Joever to them.

[-] nova_ad_vitum@lemmy.ca 26 points 4 weeks ago

Do you think maybe that's because Netanyahu has literally no incentive to comply knowing that US material aid is unconditional?

[-] realitista@lemm.ee 21 points 4 weeks ago

Oh well, I guess send them some bombs and ammo then.

[-] UltraGiGaGigantic@lemmy.ml 19 points 4 weeks ago

This is like giving someone trying to drown another person 10 minutes to stop.

Now I'm curious to see how the U.S. will react.

State Department deputy spokesman Vedant Patel said there would be no change to U.S. policy at the end of the 30-day deadline the U.S. set for Israel to improve conditions in Gaza.

So unexpected...

Meanwhile a bunch of fascist hooligan in amsterdam gets beat up and it's a pogrom lmao

[-] jaggedrobotpubes@lemmy.world 11 points 4 weeks ago

Now it's a 45-day deadline, and this time I mean it, buster.

[-] postmateDumbass@lemmy.world 11 points 4 weeks ago

Oh no! The Americans will have to say Stop! again.

[-] filister@lemmy.world 5 points 4 weeks ago

This time there wasn't even a strongly worded letter. Moral bankruptcy.

[-] theacharnian@lemmy.ca 8 points 4 weeks ago

Any state department gaslighting to hasbara this?
