Looks nice. The only missing thing is "BTW", btw.

[-] ColdWater@lemmy.ca 11 points 4 days ago

I thought about it but didn't know where to put it XD

[-] thingsiplay@beehaw.org 17 points 4 days ago

Hmm right. Maybe replace TM with BTW. Pacman won't stay at 7.0.0 either. Maybe over time you make newer or alternative versions. :D The overall layout of the elements and the styling looks good, no complaint there.

Yeah maybe I'll update it in the future, I do have a few idea in mind on what I want to change

[-] thingsiplay@beehaw.org 3 points 4 days ago

Nevertheless it looks good. Have in mind, posting online will always make people suggest something.^^

+1 to replace TM with BTW (and to remove the version numbers, too) :p

Just like real CPU stickers :P

[-] vaionko@sopuli.xyz 3 points 3 days ago

I don't think the CPU in my computer has changed in a while

[-] ReversalHatchery@beehaw.org 11 points 4 days ago

I have been using the same CPU for half a decade. Not everyone is an impulse buyer.

Idk, ~five years doesn't seem like a long time with regards to CPUs. I had my Ryzen 2200G from summer 2018 to this January, and I would consider my purchase of a cheap Ryzen 3600 to be a bit premature (and it was definitely an impulse purchase). And it also means that the CPU sticker became outdated pretty soon.

Still rocking my 2700x. It's getting a little long in the tooth now, but it's still a serviceable CPU!

[-] ChaoticNeutralCzech@feddit.org 1 points 3 days ago

My CPU lasted longer than the sticker (it's a laptop)

[-] thingsiplay@beehaw.org 5 points 4 days ago

Fair enough. :D

That's nice dear

Sticks it on fridge door, tousles hair

[-] ma1w4re@lemm.ee 10 points 4 days ago

Someone should make a script that generates the sticker with updated version numbers 😵😵😵

[-] QuazarOmega@lemy.lol 5 points 3 days ago

..And automatically triggers the printer, if run out of paper or ink, it should also place an order on Amazon

[-] ma1w4re@lemm.ee 4 points 3 days ago

Fuck yeah that kind of shit, I love it, let's go 😖🔫

Isn't "x64" still an x86 architecture?

[-] ColdWater@lemmy.ca 3 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago)

Yes but the x64 indicate it only compatible with 64bit x86/arm CPU

[-] pmk 3 points 3 days ago

I just feel that it's technically wrong to call it x64. x86 is the architecture. The x belongs there, so x86-64 makes more sense, but not "x64". It's a marketing term, but it still bothers me.

[-] LunarLoony 7 points 3 days ago

AMD64, innit?

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Linux is a family of open source Unix-like operating systems based on the Linux kernel, an operating system kernel first released on September 17, 1991 by Linus Torvalds. Linux is typically packaged in a Linux distribution (or distro for short).

Distributions include the Linux kernel and supporting system software and libraries, many of which are provided by the GNU Project. Many Linux distributions use the word "Linux" in their name, but the Free Software Foundation uses the name GNU/Linux to emphasize the importance of GNU software, causing some controversy.
