Malta is really nice in that teenagers can apply to change their name at age 16 without parental consent.

I have had always thought that teenagers starting at age 14 should be able to make decisions for themselves provided these are healthy choices supported by the evidence like getting a vaccine or moving into the home of a trusted relative or friend to get away from problematic parents.
