I think of it more like Bi+ or Bi Premium because you get more content than traditional Bi.

Bisexual is the umbrella term, which pansexual is under. Bisexual just means "attracted to your own gender and other gender(s)" and pansexual makes that more specific
Bisexual: I like men and women.
Pansexual: IDGAF about gender, let's fuck.

Bi: I like my gender and other gender(s), and I may or may not have preferences/exclusions (the "my gender/other gender(s)" language is important because bi doesn't inherently exclude enbys, etc)
Pan: IDGAF about gender
Omni: I have preferences/exclusions
I've seen stupider, but damn that is up there in the moron-o-meter reading
I identify as bi. I'm always into myself and my current partner, and that's two right there. Good enough!
