It would be funny if everyone in NY just started dressing like this for a few days.

[-] EleventhHour@lemmy.world 55 points 2 weeks ago

A huge amount of people in New York already dressed this way, lol

At the very least there should be one of those pfp filter things that puts anyone's face into the photos NYPD released. Meme remix the wanted posters so you can't even find the original photos

[-] Phoenicianpirate@lemm.ee 3 points 2 weeks ago

A real 'I am Spartacus' moment.

[-] intresteph@discuss.online 58 points 2 weeks ago

Dang, he has style and money.

[-] Bezier@suppo.fi 45 points 2 weeks ago

I guess a good hitman isn't gonna be cheap

[-] Gork@lemm.ee 18 points 2 weeks ago

Best one this side of the Mississippi.

Well how am I supposed to afford this when I'm six figures in medical debt?

-Not really in debt, just wanna make a joke mmkay?

So I‘m a bit ootl here and I‘m trying to understand what so tell if I‘m wrong, but from what I understand this guy shot this CEO of a million dollar health insurance and just fucking biked away?

Edit: What a fucking legend

[-] caboose2006@lemmy.ca 38 points 2 weeks ago

43 billion dollar health insurance company. And yes. It was the most casual shooting I've ever seen on the internet. It was well planned at the very least.

[-] MsPenguinette@lemmy.world 17 points 2 weeks ago

This guy is making it look so easy

[-] barooboodoo@lemm.ee 2 points 2 weeks ago

Admin, he's doing it sideways.

[-] Sternburgexport@feddit.org 4 points 2 weeks ago

Who would win?

43 billion dollar

One bikey boy

[-] unexposedhazard@discuss.tchncs.de 24 points 2 weeks ago

The silencer made it so no big panic broke out, so he was kinda just able to walk off i guess. There cant be cops everywhere, so if you just leave immediately, its going to be hard for cops to catch up with the information flow.

[-] BigPotato@lemmy.world 6 points 2 weeks ago

I mean, the woman who was right next to the CEO understandably freaked and bolted but yeah.

[-] Sternburgexport@feddit.org 4 points 2 weeks ago

From what I've heard NYPD cops are useless anyway

[-] inv3r510n@lemmy.world 8 points 2 weeks ago

Not if you’re jumping a subway turnstile!

[-] boonhet@lemm.ee 7 points 2 weeks ago

They're fairly effective if your crime is witnessing someone jump over a metro turnstile I hear

[-] Ilovethebomb@lemm.ee 12 points 2 weeks ago

On a rental bike, supposedly.

[-] phdepressed@sh.itjust.works 3 points 2 weeks ago

Wouldn't a rental be traceable through simple billing unless it was stolen?

[-] Ilovethebomb@lemm.ee 1 points 2 weeks ago

That's what worries me.

[-] guy_threepwood@lemmy.world 2 points 2 weeks ago

Pretty sure the bike hire company confirmed that wasn’t the case

[-] tombruzzo@lemm.ee 9 points 2 weeks ago

Think of the traffic in NY. Where would you park? And you're just going to get in a car to sit in traffic?

Bro made a perfect getaway

[-] Justas@sh.itjust.works 7 points 2 weeks ago

I was always surprised how getting away from a crime scene with a bicycle isn't more popular. It's faster and easier than running and you can use paths that cars can't easily get to.

[-] Sternburgexport@feddit.org 7 points 2 weeks ago

He absolutely did and the thought of him just casually bikong away from an Assassination is just too fucking funny.

[-] inv3r510n@lemmy.world 6 points 2 weeks ago

A bike is the perfect getaway vehicle in a city.

In my state someone robbed a bank in our largest city and got away on bike and I believe is still out there not found.

[-] the_crotch@sh.itjust.works 13 points 2 weeks ago

Was this dude really wearing thousand dollar shoes? His outfit may have cost more than the CEO he shot

[-] Ilovethebomb@lemm.ee 19 points 2 weeks ago

I suspect OP has made most of this up, or at best guessed.

[-] sem@lemmy.blahaj.zone 8 points 2 weeks ago

This meme makes fun of those automated website ads that sell you bullshit that's tenuously related to the content on the website

[-] tombruzzo@lemm.ee 12 points 2 weeks ago

I think he was on a much more expensive bike. Easily a high end Trek, or a BMC, S-Works, or a Campagnolo

[-] boonhet@lemm.ee 8 points 2 weeks ago

Nah it was a Peloton

[-] slickgoat@lemmy.world 11 points 2 weeks ago

Maybe Bruce Wayne reversed his policy on forearms?

[-] xavier666@lemm.ee 5 points 2 weeks ago

What's wrong with having some good strong forearms?

[-] slickgoat@lemmy.world 6 points 2 weeks ago

Damn, this always happens to me when I don't put me specs on?

[-] xavier666@lemm.ee 7 points 2 weeks ago

If you had strong forearms, you could have picked up the specs easily

[-] feedum_sneedson@lemmy.world 6 points 2 weeks ago

can't afford that
