MODERATORS

They usually make some good posts, ~~but now and then they make a completely insane one like this one praising jihadists~~. They have also posted weird shit in the past, anti "Stalinism" propaganda and electoralist shit about so called "leftist" governments winning the elections.

Edit: After all they seem to be okay on this issue, they are with the Kurds not the Jihadists

French media have performed a complete ~~360~~ 180 about their usual islamophobia and uncritically praise the fundamentalists because "Assad bad" it's just the world getting more and more unhinged

nerd it would be a 180°, not a 360°.

If you turn around 180° you will be looking the opposite direction, if you turn around 360° you would be looking the same direction.

Give it a few more months and I'm sure media will complete a full circle as they begin to justify another forever war in the middle east with direct intervention, but for now they've just done a remarkable heel turn.

Fuck degrees, all my homies use radiants

the SDF aren't the jihadists, that's HTS.

True, this conflict has me confused tbh

[–] Dolores@hexbear.net 9 points 7 months ago

it's completely fluid atm, the SDF are the only discrete entity left from the nebulous 'rebels' supposedly led by HTS, an alliance of confusing dimensions that seems liable to break down very quickly

LOL Understatement of the century wrt to the Syrian civil War.

Probably one of the wildest, most labyrinthian conflicts of the past hundred years, at least to my knowledge.
