I don't think I am in a doomer fase but I do feel pessimistic I guess.
There's just a large discrepancy between my life passions and constantly being politically active. I don't like politics. I don't like being politically active. I like gardening, nature, bird watching, working out, etc. Instead I find myself trying to convince people we should not let some few rich losers destroy our world.
Just ranting I guess but I often find myself asking what I'm doing with my life these days.
Feel the same, would like to just go party, listen to music, hike and play sports and board games but all this political stuff I do mostly because I feel the need to do something
I struggle with a similar thing. Its hard. I am just a little ape who wants to have fun why do i have to be worried about other dumb apes destroying the entire world? Its like we are the constant victims of some horrible crime that most people act as if they don't see.
Best to take frequent breaks.
Force yourself. Forcing yourself is what self-care is all about. I know people laugh off self-care, but you have to force yourself. Self-care involves giving yourself the benefit of doubt.

My mom no-joke says that she is scared of the "Venezuelan gangs" that she reads and hears about all the time on the news. She says that she even gets scared whenever she hears a noise at night because of this. I even try to tell her that the media is trying to get her scared by blasting this stuff and that undocumented immigrants actually commit less crimes on average. Whatever I say, it all goes over her head.
The media has successfully tricked her into being scared of the evil scary brown people. It's both very funny and very sad at the same time.
Few days ago my mom reposted a innocent looking christmas post... from a anti-gay christo-fascist NGO. The founder was a literal klan member, and a few years ago they had to fire one of their execs who was a child molester.
Like she's my mom and I love her but I wouldn't get in the way if she was hauled off to a reeducation gulag.
Christmas shopping when you're almost broke is not fun
First world problems but I have it reversed for the first time now where my family is doing pretty well. Now my brother's partner came in with a big ass bag of presents. Must have been 15 or something. I immediately felt pressured to buy a lot of shit but I had no idea what. Figured I might as well just give one more expensive but sustainable gift for everyone. Doesn't help that the people I celebrate with probably already have everything they need. It's just wants at this point and tbh their wants are kinda trash lol.
Why can't we just, idk, buy something simple instead of increasingly trying to impress others.
Ive been struggling to find motivation to do things. The urge to fall into escapism is really strong lately. But i know ill be happier later if i dont waste my limited free time doing that.
Sometimes I wish our party would be more into physical development as well. Maybe not too obvious but just behind the scene lifting groups or something. No offense to my comrades but there are practically no active lifters I know within the party in my region. I tried to bring this up on multiple occasions but never really got an answer.

Reaching Christmas period and today I felt like putting on just a fall jacket. Like it was 13 degree Celsius man what the fuck lol. There was a strong wind which just felt like a warm hair dryer. I have flowers that are starting to grow on my balcony. Climate change is no joke.
I had been feeling fatigued for a while now and some days ago I remembered I didn't take vitamin B supplements for a while now. I eat plant based and usually I get enough out of my food but it doesn't hurt to take some in a while.
Anyway I have been taking them for a few days now and I honestly feel better lol. Check your vitamins these dark days y'all.
