A day after a Jeju Air passenger plane crashed at Muan International Airport in South Jeolla, another Jeju Air airplane, also a Boeing 737-800, experienced a landing gear malfunction.

Jeju Air Flight 7C 101, which departed from Gimpo International Airport at 6:37 a.m. on Monday with 161 passengers, reported a landing gear malfunction shortly after takeoff and was forced to return to the airport, according to airline industry sources on Monday.

Or, and I know this is a shock, same Maintenance department.

15 years old, two failures of the same type in a day isn't a manufacturing issue.

Blame boeing for the shit they actually pulled, not stuff that isn't on them.

Exactly. Match up the tail numbers and their recent routes and maintenance history. If nothing there then look up the company's guidelines on maintenance. The "Boeing bad" trope is too easy of a trap to get into. And I say that working on Boeing freighters and seeing some of the stuff that's there. Follow the evidence. And quickly, if it is the case of a company or even a single person screwing up regularly. There's likely to be other planes flying with problems.

Sounds mechanical.
