Although I haven't lived in Poland for over 30 years, I'm so ashamed of my home country whenever it pops up in the news. So regressive.

I am split on this to be honest. There is a point to be made about these mandates unfairly burdening the poor but the solution has to be better then just not doing anything.

Well the first directive they take issue with is a gradual switchover gift on gasoline to EVs for personal transportation, by 2035. The solution is to phase it in, such as over the next 12 years.

Meanwhile, assuming it’s similar to what we have in parts of the US, it only applies to new cars, and you’re free to continue running your existing gasoline cars as long as you afford to. The solution is to let people keep using their existing gasoline cars
