Go really European and stop using Firefox and use Ecosia instead.

Does anybody know what the permission „Access your data for all websites“ includes? Passwords? Browser history? Open tabs?

Yeah also wondering of your data is safe with an app like this. Seems like it is a golden oppertunity to collect peoples shopping data (or worse, insert its own reference links like Honey) otherwise it sounds great if your goal is buying more EU based products!

It would be lovely if this supported Firefox for Android - it seems currently to be desktop only.

There's very few extensions that translate over to the mobile client sadly

Works for me. I just use "Download file" since I use IceRaven but there are several ways. If you prefer using the official stable version of Firefox for Android you can for example do this.

Interesting, thanks for posting about this. For a plugin that's in it's infancy (only a couple of days old), it's already worth trying.

At the moment it requires you to choose your country and then offers alternatives based in your country. So for example when I visit Amazon, it recommends a national bookshop here in Ireland. That's a great recommendation if I'm looking for books, but I wasn't.

Hopefully it will become more context sensitive in time and make recommendations based on what item I'm looking at. If I'm looking at a load carrier / trolley, I'd like to get a recommendation for Athlon in Germany, for example. I'll contact the developers about that.

But the main reason I'd use something like this is to simply stop lining the pockets of billionaires, so I'd like to find the smallest supplier/retailer possible. Maybe I need a different extension.

Edit: They can be contacted on codeberg repo here: https://codeberg.org/K-Robin/GoEuropean
