As of April 3rd, he's considering whether or not to hold them in contempt for something they did March fuckin 14th
Josef Schütz, age 101, was convicted in June 2022 for being an accessory to murder at the Sachsenhausen concentration camp. He was sentenced to five years in prison, making him the oldest person tried for Nazi-era crimes.
Irmgard Furchner, age 97, was convicted in December 2022 for her role as a secretary at the Stutthof concentration camp. She was found guilty of complicity in over 10,000 murders and received a two-year suspended sentence.
Yes men and shot-callers alike basically all were eventually tried for their crimes.
Is this supposed to make anyone feel better? This is just another example of the same bullshit. 2 year suspended sentence for crimes against humanity is fucking insane.
Literally better than nothing, but two to five years for being an accessory to mass murder likely years after everyone who knew the victims were dead themselves doesn't exactly feel like justice
Going to prison after 80y of living a full and consequence free life does not make a good point about justice. "Justice delayed is justice denied." Courts need to move faster and take off the kid gloves.
Courts are slow. 🫤
If I went into a court and told the judge that I didn't have to do what he ordered me to do, I don't think it would take tap weeks for the judge to decide that he should consider holding me in contempt. I think I'd be in custody within 15 minutes.
