I think, overall, it's less bad than some other stuff dealing with the same issues, but there's a few things that stick out to me.
First, the rabbit just fucking steals the entire show. He's so good that I end up just hating any moment screen time doesn't include him. There's moments where you're expected to feel some sympathy for other characters and once the rabbit's backstory is revealed, I only feel hate for them, Dante included. I don't know what they'll do to keep people engaged next season because that character is gone and what's left is a bunch of assholes, relatively boring ones at that.
Second, it's hard not to see some equivalence with Israel and that's probably intended. I think their messaging is a little muddled and both sidesy when it comes to this subject though. Demons are all assumed to be universally evil and then it's revealed that's not true and most are just regular people trying to survive. But they're trying to survive the oppression of other demons (before they have to start dealing with humans anyways), and its hard not to see that as some metaphor for the evil Hammas vs the innocent civilians. Or is the rabbit supposed to be Hammas? Idk, that's what I mean by muddled.
Third, the exposition in the beginning is just ... terrible. Just bad. The way things are explained, how the story is set up, it just takes you out of the story and makes you ask "how tf does this person know all this and why are they just saying it all".
Fourth, 3d animated demons in a 2d animated show.
I will give it to the show that their portrayal of America as warmongering and bloodthirsty is pretty good though, lots of "America bad" messaging which I can always get behind.
Bad posting because this is low effort analysis.
Edit: also it was really funny that Trump was the president and Biden was the vice president and Biden didn't have alzheimers and was an extremely devout Christian, very good bit.
