I was walking my 4 year old to T-ball practice and noticed these buds. All I had was my phone, so....

I do try to bring my 'real' camera with me most of the time, but haven't been bringing it to their practices since I get game photos.

Awesome shot. And very true.

You just reminded me to get another compact pocket camera. I had a Powershot with some crazy-ass optical zoom, but my parents bogarted it after a few vacation trips. Damned thing goes for $600+ nowadays.

Thanks! And yeah, compact cameras are nuts in price these days. The GM5 launched in 2014 at $900 with a kit lens. Today you can buy a body without a lens for $900-1,000 at MPB.

Honestly, my a9ii with the cheap/compact 50mm f/1.8 is pretty compact and I don't mind carrying it. I just didn't think to grab it for practice. For the older one, this was probably a good choice. For the younger one, I made a mistake. The kids where hallarious.

True sentiment. I often take pictures with my eyes, but regrettably I have no way to share them.

Ditto, but if you have a phone in your pocket why not whip it out?
