Ferrari race management is awful. Lewis asks for a swap because he had better tires and they wait 4 laps to even radio Charles. Charles is fine with it but by then most of the advantage was out of the tires. They can't close the gap fast enough now and Charles asks for a swap back. Same non answer that gets both drivers pissed off.

Both drivers deserve better than they're getting from the pit wall.

Just another Sunday at Ferrari

It must be the tyres.

Ferrari "strategists" have been a joke for years.

The only positive is that the drivers aren't blaming each other and are agreed about it being the pitwalls fault

They had Sainz just behind them, they couldn't swap too early or they risked him regaining the position. Truth is Lewis just didn't have the pace.

An Williams in the top 5 and beat both Ferraris.

Be Russell. Do nothing in the race. Finish in third.

Looking like the fight will be between the McLarens - Oscar is just a cool customer. I wouldnt have picked williams fighting with ferrari at this stage of the season.

I couldn't watch the race until today, but that was alright I thought. The battles through the first half of the race were great, we got another slick Piastri overtake and the lap after lap of battle between Norris and Max was super entertaining. Poor racecraft again by Norris but also masterful defensive driving by Max.

I really don't get the vitriol people spout at this track. Yeah it's kind of ugly with the motorway next door and it isn't situated in an elysian Italian rolling hillside or among the cherry blossoms in Japan or whatever. But aren't we here for the racing, rather than tourism photography? It's a perfectly fine track for that. Never a highlight sure, but it's absolutely an adequate 7/10 or so track.

It also wouldn't be a post race if I didn't complain about Pirelli and so I guess it's that time again. Even with them making a last second audible and going one step softer than planned this was an easy one-stop and it's going to be a trend this year. This is the second time too on a street track where they didn't go for the new C6 "street track tire". Is it the new Full Wets, doomed to be forever unused? When will we see it? Only in Monaco?

Tough day for the rookies again, though Hadjar had a solid race and I think he's been quite impressive overall (no suprise given his last year in F2). Antonelli had amazing qualy pace and probably a shot at pole, but once again struggled with the tires during the race, particularly on the hard compound. Most rookies struggle with tyres their first year - Piastri is a recent example - so it's no reason to panic, although it is something he needs to work on. He had some bad luck today again with a slow pitstop and VSC timing but honestly I don't think it ended up mattering.

Shambolic scenes from Ferrari again but at least the car is also slow so at least they're not throwing away points that matter. I hope the atmosphere in the team is better off track than it sounds like during the races. Because that's a yikes at this point.

Seeing Albon in 5th warms the cockles of my cold dead heart though and he had a really great race too. Driver of the day, surely? I know Piastri's move on Max was great, but 5th in a Williams? Come on.

Norris couldโ€™ve won if he was a bit more patient. He tried to pass Verstappen in a corner that isnโ€™t known for overtaking.

I'm gonna get a Duracell battery tattooed on my lower back. I'll be a Cadi fan when they're in, but for now....another good week to be a Williams fan.
