Shoutout to Tervell (hexbear.net)

Shoutout to Tervell for keeping this comm active. If it weren't for him this place would be SPARSE but instead we've got multiple posts a day of interesting gun pictures. He's pretty cool for doing that.

Thanks dude!

Pic unrelated, it's a Cuban soldier, the optic on the AKM is the domestically produced Visor Patria.

I like how Tervell is our guns guy, our anime guy, and our Half-Life modding guy.

Dang that optic looks rugged. I'd like to see the other side.

a lot of Soviet/Russian optics for the AK in general are pretty solidly-built, I assume the Cubans were going by similar design principles

(although as @Shaleesh@hexbear.net says it might be based on an AimPoint, the lens color and placement of the battery compartment do give it that vibe, but it's still clearly more beefed up compared to the AimPoint)

Cool, nice to see more variety of optic mounts for that platform.

I've been gathering information and pictures on this and the other homegrown cuban gunsight. Once Im done getting crushed by my workload I'm going to do a writeup on both and post it here. I know very little about this one other than a rumor that it is based off of the AimPoint CompM2 and that they started appearing sometime around 2021.
