An internal email obtained by ProPublica said the agency made the change to be “consistent” with a Trump executive order. But at least two other federal law enforcement agencies are still requiring body cameras.

Everyone should love body cameras. Almost every single law enforcement interaction is going to involve the potential for some arguing after the fact about what really happened. Everyone on both sides should want the objective truth to be known. If the cops don't want their interaction to be recorded, that is a massive red flag.

To me, it somewhat sounds like Trump told all the federal cops to throw away their bodycams, and the DEA obeyed him and some other ones ignored him. ICE, of course, got rid of theirs almost immediately after Trump showed up.

The executive order I want to see is that body cameras will be used as a punch clock. You are only considered "on duty" and getting paid while your camera is running.

Any action you take with your camera off is as a private citizen, and is not covered by qualified immunity.

This one's always extra weird to me. Why do the wealthy elites always go after drugs so hard when we all know they do more drugs than anyone?

They need excuses to throw people in prison for slave labor. Drugs are something most people enjoy, so the state illegalizes as many as it can for max efficacy.

Keeping a portion of the people to be ~~slaves~~ in debt
