TBH, I'm kind of happy this is happening, with such a big game too. Kids will learn the hard way that they don't own online-only games they paid for, and can't trust on Apple, Epic and other such providers to keep content they bough available.

It's being pushed on all of us as the norm, so things like that might actually help the game preservation cause.

It’s not clear that this is Apple’s doing as even third party stores took the game down. Tim Sweeney is such a shit eating petty asshole that I can believe he ordered it just to rile people up.

Maybe the Saudis bought it on a whim

Apple released a statement. It was, as expected, Epic who took it down worldwide. Apple only blocked it Stateside.

Oh no…not Fortnite.

Time to antitrust Apple and break them up. They grew too large for their own britches.

I don't care for either side but it's fun to watch it all unfold.

I don't either but the implications for consumers and developers alike around the world are extremely impactful so I'm in Epic's corner.

I want Epic to win, but I don't mind if they suffer in the meantime.

I hope iOS users get unrestricted access just in time for Fortnite's business model to become illegal.

Again.

Illegally.
