Rocky Horror. Susan Sarandon.

This is hands down the funniest option for this film, I have thought about this before.

Statler and Waldorf play Riff-Raff and Magenta, Kermit plays Brad, Miss Piggy is Frank.

I had a whole muppet fancast for this at one point, but it's been at least a decade since then and I can't remember any more of them.

Edit: adding as it comes back to me, we had Fozzie as Eddie and Gonzo as Columbia.

The Rocketeer (1991).

Timothy Dalton.

[–] Dagwood222@lemm.ee 9 points 1 week ago (1 children)

In the original comics, the Rocketeer was a huge asshole and the Jennifer Connelly character was a stripper/nudie model. I am still waiting for an apology and / or a remake.

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, obviously Johnny Depp as the only human. Basically no difference.

"Civil War" from 2024, but only Jesse Plemons is human.

"What kind of muppet are you?"

[–] Xerxos@lemmy.ml 11 points 1 week ago (1 children)

OG Star Wars - chewbacca, but instead of a guy in a costume just a really hairy dude

A live-action Lorax. Danny DeVito is the only human, and he's wearing a Lorax costume.

My wife said: Legally blond, keep Witherspoon

[–] QuoVadisHomines@sh.itjust.works 9 points 1 week ago (2 children)

Keep Jennifer Coolidge. Piggy is Reese's role and Kermit is Luke Wilson's role

Cast Away. Tom Hanks.

It's a movie that starts really goofy, gets serious for a long time, and is then oddly goofy again.

Rocky, the lady who played Adrian.

Jurrasic park, the guy that played Neuman on Seinfeld.

This was done with a Muppet Christmas Carol and Michael Caine to excellent results. Really a top notch interpretation and acting. Highly recommend

Being John Malkovich,

Keep anyone other than John Malkovich, in fact John Malkovich is the only puppet.

Transformers. Keep only John Turturro. The rest, even the Transformers, are played by normal sized muppets.

Bumblebee is played by Beaker, obviously. And seeing Megan Fox replaced by Miss Piggy sounds like a fever dream

[–] Rakonat@lemmy.world 8 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago) (1 children)

The Matrix. Hugo Weaving (Agent Smith) as the only non-muppet.
