It looks kind of like a gnocchi or something. Is the texture at all similar?

It is extremely unique. It has a very gummy bite but in a super pleasing way

It's a little bit more spongey, it's kinda like a piece of penne pasta if it was solid all the way through. They are kind of spongey, they soak up and take on the flavor of whatever sauce you put them in.

We buy the indirect kind at the local Chinese supermarket, and it’s still pretty good. We went to a Korean restaurant for my wife’s birthday recently though, and the fresh ones are definitely on another level
