This is similar to people working doing these jobs with horrible outcomes to feed , clothe, and house their families... But then those jobs are creating a worse world/future society for their families at the same time.

Like, doing morally compromised things for moral reasons.

It ends up with everyone working towards a worse world "because we have to" to survive in the worse world we all worked to create.

"I did it for my kids!" - but then it's a future your kids struggle even more to live in.

ICE? AWS engineers? IDF officers? Crude oil refinery workers? Who exactly are you talking about if not about all of us
