I am tempted to downvote. Just to keep things the same.
I was more worried about the disc drive working extra hard than this before, but I am relieved that I already do keep it horizontal instead of vertical.
I had no idea it was a thing so I kept mine vertical bc I bought the digital one.
After about two years, it started overheating. I stopped playing it and started looking into it.
It was the liquid metal. I cleaned it up, replaced the liquid metal and it runs without any problems.
It's horizontal now and it'll stay horizontal.
Guess it’s a good time to sell mine 🤣
They got mercury in these things?

Its basically mercury 2.0. Neat! 😃
