If there is some god... I hope hell is a place reserved for this people...
before their own painfull death... I hope they suffer, they have to watch all their beloved people, siblings and offspring die horrible painfull deaths and everyone they hold dear suffer, suffer and suffer... until they die as the oldest humans in ages, bound in a catatonic state for decades and I will gleefully keep the machines running that keep them alive!
And people wonder why I despise all religious institutions, no matter the flavour of their business selling people an empty shell they named hope.
Stopping these terrorists with force is a moral necessity if no other way exists.
no other way does exist. Those no kings protests were nice and all but what exactly even remotely, slightly, changed? nothing. they trucked ahead like they will continue to do.
Democrat politicians will continue to chirp on twitter and make awesome tiktok vids but that's all it is at the end of the day, talk. I can only watch so many committee hearings and just know "why am I wasting my time watching this? it's just a dog and pony show and nothing will come of it."
Look I admire AOC and Bernie and the rest of them but peaceful protesting is just going to paint a target on their backs for when they come for them and make no mistake, they will.

I don’t disagree entirely, but I think we’re just slightly off here. Part of the momentum behind Mamdani’s primary win in NY is the foundational movement building that Bernie and AOC have been doing for years, and particularly with the fight oligarchy tour. This is not nothing; NY mayor is one of the most important positions we could capture, even if it’s not radical.
I agree that we don’t have time for these mainstream do-nothing Democratic politicians like Cory Booker, Hakim Jeffries, and Chuck Schumer. Fuck em. But if we organize and fight, we can make electoral strategy a key part of our agenda and actually win. Elections are not the only space where we can fight and win too!
Let’s not be overly optimistic OR pessimistic at this point. We’re getting close, but we’re not there yet. I think we can still turn this around without organizing militias, even though it absolutely constitutes legitimate self defense at this point.
I just think Americans should “make it harder” for when the nazi’s eventually do come knocking.
I'm not looking forward to them knocking on my door, but I am prepared.

The red letter texts of Jesus' own teachings take precedent over any conflicting verses, and those teachings say to love thy neighbor as you would yourself.

I honestly have to wonder why civil war hasn't broken out yet in the USA.

Most people that oppose Trump also follow an ethical code that abohrs violence.
The talking points among people I know here include constantly referencing a study that indicates non-violent opposition is more frequently effective than violent opposition. I suspect that study is a little simplistic, but may have its point.
The problem is, a lot of liberals think that showing up for a 14 June style protest (with permits and police escort) is the full extent of 'non-violent' resistance.
It's taking them a minute to catch on that more, much more, will be needed.
The next step has to be introducing other non-violent tactics - ones that are far less pleasant than bringing a sign to a giant street party on a Saturday afternoon.
Tactics that might involve being arrested (despite not attacking anyone), losing income or your job (work strike), or ending up in a detention facility.
No one wants to do this. This is like getting a cancer diagnosis and not wanting chemo, not wanting to count your expected remaining life in months instead of decades.
Most people will do what most people do - 'see how it goes'. Until they can't anymore.
This is the denial and bargaining stage of a fascism diagnosis.

It says nothing about women who have sex with women, or men having sex with men while in a standing (or perhaps seated) position. Also, Leviticus doesn't use the word "homosexual" or "homosexuality" much less condemn it.
