The Party's final and most crucial command to its citizens was to reject the evidence of their eyes and ears

Perfect quote and absolutely relevant.

Not just a client, a business partner. Epstein was known to operate out of Mar Lago.

I wonder if Epstein's death opens the possibility of the list being admissable evidence since there is a hearsay exception for the death of the declarant. I bet they didn't consider that when they were facilitating his suicide.

Supposedly Trump wanted to sue people for defamation until his lawyers informed him that would mean the Epstein files would have to be made public to prove it wasn't true.

In fairness to the conservatives, most of them are pretty suspicious and upset about this and are beginning to think Trump really is on the list. This is based on what I see on r/conservative though, fwiw

Assuming they release a list. How would we ever know that it's legit and complete? I mean what if they just come up with something like Barack Obama, Joe Biden, Hunter Biden etc. but none of their own people. And even if they released the real list and Trump was on there, would that really be sufficient to have legal consequences? Most likely it doesn't contain proofs for every single crime commited with dates, victims etc. along Epstein's customers. So even with the list being published, Trump would probably just claim it to be harmless and nothing would happen.

Don't get me wrong, I'd still appreciate the list being released. I just don't have much hope that it will lead to real changes.

I was wondering the same thing when Trump said Bondi should release all "relevant" information from the Epstein file. Who determines whats "relevant"? Better not be Pedo Donnie.

what if they just come up with something

I think that was their original plan based on how they campaigned. But now I think the GOP wants to have their cake and eat it to... meaning getting rid of Trump but keeping his base. Trump tanking USA's economic prospects was not part of the plan.

He said he's on it but it was fake.
