I’m just glad to have held out long enough to upgrade for something designed to handle the new glass UI.

I’m running tvOS 26 on my Apple TV 4K latest gen and it works fine

FWIW, no currently supported models will be excluded from tvOS 26. Even if you’re still using a 10 year old Apple TV, it’ll still take the update.
