this bug is happening again to me. the first ad pretends to be muted, while every other one doesn't even bother and it's a constant jumpscare

That's weird, the ad network is configured to start videos muted by default.

I will investigate further.

The dev deserves it. Hell, I'd "launch the rocket" for ya if that was possible 😏

no, i cannot affort $5 for an app that should function perfectly fine without said $5. and i won't be bullied into doing so by a bug

I've been using Boost for years since the dev had a "shitberg" site version.

Best I can tell, it is one human that created and maintains this app.

I ❤️ it. I believe you also ❤️ it.

Stop being a bitch and throw the dev the cost of a coffee or beer. Shove your "should function" crap up your ass.

you're really doing the dev an incredible disservice by insulting prople when they're reporting a fucking bug in their goddamn app

"Well then pay to remove them".

If the design philosophy of Boost is "Provide a disruptive experience to users till they pay you money" then why would users want to trust Boost to pay them money?

Do whatever.

This app is great. The Dev had an equally great "other site" app. The best I can tell from using both for several years now.... It's one person.

So, buy them a cup of coffee or deal with the Ads.

Fr idk why these people are even here. If I'm savvy enough to be on lemmy I know there's a bunch of different clients sheesh.

Anyway launching the rocket is pretty cheap and helps rmayayo spend more time working on this

Go to the about page in the app and report it as a bug then. I paid to have no ads and even i would suggest to you to use a different app that doesn't have ads because it's rather insane to have them on a free website.
