On an unrelated note, I hate price chopper with the white hot intensity of 1,000 suns.
Sure, but in some places they're the only feasible option.
I'm all about Hanniford. I've found their prices to be consistent between, Albany, Colonie, Niskayuna, and Latham NY stores. With price chopper their prices vary wildly based on which town you are shopping in. Downtown Albany and Schenectady prices are the moste jacked up, while those in the suburbs like glenmont, colonie ect are far better. I also chafe at having to carry around a fucking plastic card and have my data farmed to get stuff that's on sale. I weep for anyone that doesn't have any other choice besides Price ~~Gouger~~ Chopper.

Does the shelf just look weird or is this actually unrefrigerated? Something about that fundamentally terrifies me for some reason..
Some stores have open/door-less refrigerated sections. Not the ideal as it uses up more power and the outer layer of items tend to spoil really quickly.

As someone from the UK, what the hell is going on with that price ticket? How many different numbers do you need to tell someone the price?! What a mess.
The 2.19 is the "regular" price in the white box. The number in the orange box is usually the price per unit and/or weight, although sometimes it can be there price for those with government assistance vouchers.
It is common for grocers to put a tag under the regular tag with a promotional sale. In this case, if you buy 10 then you get all 10 for $10.
It's a circus and I would much rather just have the price for the thing with the tax included. Corpos just like playing mind games.
