This would have been funnier in the 40s. The kids would have been able, baker, charlie, and dog.

You sent me down a mini rabbit hole!

It’s so weird to me that people decided yes “November” and “uniform” are great words for rapid communications. Uncle was already in there so nephew or niece would be fine, or even like net idk.

Also have never seen alpha spelled “Alfa” in my life but it’s actually in there, bonkers

Isn't it designed to be words that are difficult to mistake for other words. I thought it was more about using unreliable frequencies with potential white noise than being rapid

Alfa is so spelt so that non-English speakers would pronounce it correctly. The letters 'ph' could be problematic.
