The "evidence" in question was the gun that was a different gun than the one that was used for the murder, and the manifesto that started by glazing NYPD that was totally not written by NYPD.

The same fake evidence that they tried to use to expedite his execution. Originally.

I agree. The thing about murder weapons is that the gun must be exactly the one used in the crime, a similar/identical one means nothing.
