Wow what great news! What a great article my favorite part is the fact that they omitted why its opening and what the other consequences of that are. I love when news is sanitized so it makes me feel positive emotions :D

They didn't omit it. It's in the body of the article, just not the headline.

You could argue that it isn't talked about enough and they buried the lede and I'd be inclined to agree but idk, this article isn't about climate change it's about potential trade routes ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚

Forget melting, the time frame during which the strait is clear of ice is expanding by entire months each year. The passage used to only be navigable from July to October, but now ships can traverse the waters as early as May and as late as November.
