How does a show like 24 work in the Trump era? Will Kiefer be playing an ICE agent? Or one of those FBI folks that are “scared” of current leadership? Maybe Jack Bauer has only 24 hours to bomb a Venezuelan boat.

Sutherland came from a very socialist activist family. His grandfather brought universal health care to Canada.

But he is really into cowboy culture and he loves these roles that reinforce American bullshit nationalist values and paint an altruistic view of politicians and police agencies. I guess he loves money more than anything.
