The movie want that good and did not tie into the rest of the series. That kid was dumb and did not have the skills to make it. Also the ninjas at the end WTF.

Also the plot of the entire movie could be summed up in 30 seconds. Felt like a waste of time.

I actually liked the ninjas at the end.

I have mixed feelings about 28 Years Later, but I do appreciate that they seemed to have tried to do something different, even if it didn't fully work out.
