Is it worth watching? King adaptations are usually trash, but the new Running Man was pretty fun.

Personally prefer it (lol) over stranger things tbh since I liked the first of the recent IT movies. I'm a sucker for gore though. Imma have to check out that Running Man movie.
stranger things is diet SK, imo. purposely so, as even the font for their "distinct titling" is lifted from 80s SK books.
i haven't gotten around to the last two seasons, but ill get there eventually.
i dug Welcome to Derry too, though i didn't really key in until the second episode. i think it introduced some cool lore and the whole bit about pennywise experiencing time differently was nicely done and a clever means to segway into whatever is coming next (or before 👻👻👻).
also, similar lol at how fucking deranged the cold warrior was. i think he got off light. what an asshole.
When dick said how bad could a hotel be I immediately saw a silhouette of jack nicholson form in the background
That time warp got me. This dude had therapy time w Marge giving her spoilers
Honestly lore wise I kinda get why they did some changes because even an aspect of pennywise just chilling in the sewers being a cosmic hermit had me wondering wouldn't such a voracious creature want more
i got a kick out of Dick's headgames with Pennywise. the push that "no, you're not some extra dimensional ageless predator from beyond the stars, you're just some unremarkable guy who hit his head and has grand delusions" is pretty funny. lioe pennywise never bought it, but was obviously confused for a minute.
referring to earlier episodes, i like how nick explained to the major why he wasn't the type of guy he would ever mess with: his inability to feel fear when they tested him. thats the type of shit that hooked me into the season.
Dick's mind games were bloody good. I like it because he flipped the script on pennywise who's whole game is mven if for just a second that was impressive and pennywise is not used to having this turned on him.
What hooked me is.... Wtf was the military gonna do with a creature of that magnitude. Then it went how I expected. I don't think people grasp how powerful penny wise really is. That shit we see is just an avatar and the true form is probably Stephen King's version of parallax
Now that I think of it I forgot how much of Stephen Kings stuff has happy endingsm maybe its because I read revival recently.
Tbh I hope the later seasons don't over explain things. Lore is ait but horror.... You gotta leave some things to the imagination
Word. I may check it out. I never did make it back to the second IT movie. lol.
Definitely don't go to moviego.me
For me and apparently many others the second IT was a miss despite the cast being stacked. I must say though that skallengaard is a captivating Pennywise throughout the whole saga. He really is unsettling
Yeah, I thought the Part One was really good. Especially given that I grew up watching the FIRST IT on vhs back was a kid and had been a fan of the book. But when the Part Two caught so much flack I just didn't bother. King adaptations are so hit and miss I usually pass on them by default nowadays. Dark Tower traumatized me and The Dome was a total bait and switch.
It honestly surprised me that Green Mile and Shawshank were Stephen king works. Those movies I'm positive gotta be better than the books I wonder. Hold on the dome? You mean that series under the dome? I didn't finish it what happened
Ah, Under the Dome, yeah. So my memory is a bit fuzzy. It wasn't too great to begin with, but at least it kept to the book in the beginning. It was announced as a one season miniseries, but then right around the time they announced a second season things started wildly shifting away from the original plot and the whole thing went off the rails. I never went back for the second season. I hear it just kept getting worse and worse until it got canceled after season 4.
I loved the creepy circus cart in the last episode, and they handled "villains on ice" MUCH better than Black Phone 2 did. Loved the whole time warping nod. Overall the show was fun! I'll definitely be giving season 2 a shot.
BRB adding "playing tuba, menacingly" to my list of favorite pastimes.
Lmmfao this mf was the demonic pied piper
Where'd he even learn to play that? He just did it for the love of the game. Could you imagine coming across that conga line of horror?

Watch out! Pot hole!
Could have used any manner of IT trickery to get them to crash the van. But no, a pothole.
I read this as Watch out! Plot hole!
