That's their standard go-to line now: they can't argue that the West is good anymore, it's become too obvious that it's not, so now they always resort to "but everyone else does it!"
My country will still align with the USA citing "rules based global order"
This counts only if the US does it. If it was China, it would count as "a violation of the rules based global order"
the best part that your country will do this because the USA used it leveraged in the recent past to force your country to become amenable to it.
If china cut a deal with venezuela it would get cheap oil and could protect its ships. I think the US 'department of war' may just be accellerating the shifting of world power against the US.

It's hilarious that China now stands for International Rule Of Law and the US stands for Piracy and Genocide.
Why? That's usually been the case
It's almost as if one of these nations has an ancient and deeply ingrained tradition of legalism and the other makes international law simply to use as a weapon against weaker powers
