Feels like something people used to talk about more. Some get cash, some get gift cards, some get nothing at all.

Are bonuses still common where you work, or is it gone now?

My spouse works for a non-profit that gave 13th month pay for a few years. Then it scaled back to an extra 2 week paycheck. Now they just get 2 weeks paid vacation.

American, if you can believe it.

I can believe it because paid vacation is mandatory in Canada :)

I've never heard of anyone getting one, ever. But I work at a university.

No Christmas bonus here but my company did give everyone almost two weeks paid vacation covering all of Christmas and through the new year.

No, not for any of the wage slaves.

one place I used to work at gave a dollar for every hour the employee worked. (It was a seasonal job.) Another place I worked used to give every employee a $100 bill and an xmas card. My daughter works at a store that just gave her $150 in gift cards.

Don't know how widespread it is, but it does happen.

A dollar for every hour worked is like a raise if you work all year.

Not for me. I'm an atheist, but I would be willing to make an exception.
