The guinea pigs now associate me with food. I walk in and they start talking to me. I talk back. We have a little conversation. They tell me how disappointed they are when I don't have food. I tell them it's not my problem, speak to mummy pig.
At least the sex addict dry humping guinea pig is gone. Might have been a bit awkward.

My apartment faces north, but my buildings hallway has windows that face south so epic view of the city for the fireworks last night.
Partner and I watched from there, with two sets of neighbours who had the same idea. One set was having a party and gave partner and I some poppers, and the other set had a smaller party and kept their apartment door open blasting rave choons.
Perfect night.
Went down to the beach to watch the fireworks, and I kid you not, as soon as they began, some dude in a commodore tried doing burn-outs in the busy and tiny beach carpark. His car carked it on the hill to exit the carpark and started rolling backwards, almost hitting the cars behind him. Great start to the new year!! π€
Fairly organised local fireworks setup. Not that hard to clean it up though, come on ...

The fireworks were pretty as always, this year there were some rainbow bursts, spectacular . It took 30 seconds for the sound to reach us 11 kms across the bay. No bang, just a rumble. Where I used to live in Carlton it was maybe a second or two and explosive

The order - wake up too early - sinus blowout - hate everyone and everything because i was very well behaved last night you utter shit - loathe husband who was not well behaved and is not suffering any ill effects - hot shower - nasal rinse - wheat bag- ghosts marathon - eat ham with cat
The order - Opens the gates for YL so she can go earn some cash dog sitting and not take my house keys - sad face - waves goodbye - locks gates - runs back inside - jumps on man sitting on couch - dry humps surprised man yelling "Happy New Year mother fucker" - prevents dog from joining in.
That's mudlarks for you. Cheeky buggers.

Not to be too much like "2026 is gonna be my year" but I have a job I like and am good at, probably won't move house this year,and I've had new ways to get to and from work open up both in the car and bike.
It's nice to feel like i can actually plan things and do something long term because everything else in my life is sorted

I watched the 9:30 ones at Footscray park, and was planning on heading into the city but I was surprisingly tired so just went home
Got some nice photos (in my sole opinion), though!
The only thing I don't like about watching the fireworks on the telly is that they're always like 2 minutes behind what I'm hearing. But I forgot to wash the one nice jacket I own, and evidently the weatherman forgot that it was hot yesterday
P.S as a bonus, I can see my real Spotify wrapped through lastfm now, without a large chunk of listens after like October when they stop counting being missing
