60mph, no hands on the wheel, no eyes on the road, but they are right about the cheese.

80kmph (~50mph), parmigiano is driving (you just can't see it's hands).

[–] Asafum@lemmy.world 20 points 2 months ago (1 children)

🎶parmigiano take the wheel 🎶

[–] Evil_Shrubbery@thelemmy.club 10 points 2 months ago

That's triggering bcs it used to be part of a wheel.
Too soon.

It's 60kph, not 80. The first 3 bold numbers are 20, 40 and 60, afterwards it goes straight from 60 to 100. That's very common on modern cars where the "analog" dial is controlled by a servo motor

Yes, you are absolutely right!
I should have double-checked before posting :/.

(The cheese was too powerful & I couldn't look at the pic any longer!)

$20 protein bars, man fuck this economy

[–] Nomecks@lemmy.ca 13 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago) (3 children)

They make a Velveeta flavored bar for only $1.99

[–] RaoulDuke85@piefed.social 15 points 2 months ago (1 children)

At this point, anything that brings me closer to death is fine.

[–] jaybone@lemmy.zip 4 points 2 months ago

It’s mostly sawdust and chemical dyes.

That’s a noshitpost. It’s so binding it’ll stick to the ceiling.

[–] Akasazh@lemmy.world 8 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Is that what you pay for parmesan in the states?

Bonkers

[–] Pat_Riot@lemmy.today 4 points 2 months ago (1 children)

That might not quite be $20 worth, but pound and a half, so .75-ish kilo wedges were about that much at Costco the other day.

They make you suffer for a love of cheese in this distopian hellscape.

[–] Akasazh@lemmy.world 2 points 2 months ago

Ok that evens out, from the piece on the photo I'd estimated half a kilo, which would be about 11 euro. So .75 would come to 17, which is about 20 dollaroos.

So it's similar in price.

[–] JusticeForPorygon@lemmy.blahaj.zone 5 points 2 months ago (1 children)

To be fair that's not far off from what some of those heavily marketed bars cost.

[–] CallMeAnAI@lemmy.world 3 points 2 months ago

For a box maybe.

[–] Samsy@lemmy.ml 3 points 2 months ago

1000 kcal. This human battery isn't running on itself.

[–] HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world 4 points 2 months ago

[–] SwingingTheLamp@piefed.zip 22 points 2 months ago

*Probiotic protein bar.

[–] MonkderVierte@lemmy.zip 13 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Literally the best form of protein:

Eggs

[–] ickplant@lemmy.world 6 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Would you like an egg in these trying times?

[–] MonkderVierte@lemmy.zip 2 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Cheese is more soul food imo.

[–] GreenKnight23@lemmy.world -1 points 2 months ago

eat enough of it and you'll set your soul free.

[–] QuinnyCoded@sh.itjust.works 1 points 2 months ago (2 children)

are you lactose intolerant? I've snacked on a block of parmesan before and I didn't have that issue

[–] zqps@sh.itjust.works 2 points 2 months ago

There's basically no lactose in properly aged cheese. Too much of it will do a number on your guts regardless.

[–] marcos@lemmy.world 1 points 2 months ago

Well... Personally, I am. I've snacked on a block of Parmesan and it's not a good post-experience.

Still, I'm pretty sure I'll do it again.

[–] JeeBaiChow@lemmy.world 6 points 2 months ago

Typical VW owner

[–] WhatGodIsMadeOf@feddit.org 5 points 2 months ago

Oh man, I remember I ate a block of cheese driving home from the store and it felt like I ate razor blades.

[–] Ceruleum@lemmy.wtf 4 points 2 months ago

[–] tobiah@lemmy.world 3 points 2 months ago (1 children)

I always want more parmesan, but I'm embarrassed.
