i wish i could understand what people expect going to a march that was created by the same oligarchy that they're trying to protest against.

I see it as a gateway. A lot of people will go to the protest, talk to other people, and maybe get involved with something more meaningful.

that's the most common reason i've heard, but experience from previous protests teaches me that americans are STRONGLY biased against leftist movement so an overwhelming majority will not get anything meaningful out of it and only the ones who are already receptive might continue down this path.

This is a bitch ass view point and only stifles momentum for these protests and the exposure that they bring.

This puts it in the face of the daily regular person that passes by and the average person is aware of these protests. Most importantly it allows people to talk and coordinate both ideas and opportunities for future involvement. It’s the foundation for more effective groups that will come later.
