General Discussion for politics in the UK.
Please don't post to both !uk_politics@feddit.uk and !unitedkingdom@feddit.uk .
Pick the most appropriate, and put it there.

Posts should be related to UK-centric politics, and should be either a link to a reputable news source for news, or a text post on this community.

Opinion pieces are also allowed, provided they are not misleading/misrepresented/drivel, and have proper sources.

If you think "reputable news source" needs some definition, by all means start a meta thread. (These things should be publicly discussed)

Posts should be manually submitted, not by bot. Link titles should not be editorialised.

Disappointing comments will generally be left to fester in ratio, outright horrible comments will be removed.
Message the mods if you feel something really should be removed, or if a user seems to have a pattern of awful comments.

Nigel Farage has apologised for 17 breaches of the MPs’ code of conduct after failing to declare £380,000 of income on time, saying he is an “oddball” who does not do computers.

So people want a "Leader" who can't handle basic modern everyday life functions

I’m sure being the leader of a modern society doesn’t require any interactions with technology.

I mean, the way he’d probably want to govern the country into the ground, it probably doesn’t to be fair.

That's why they don't do background checks on their MPs, they don't know how.

Trump all over again. It won't make the damnedest bit of difference to his supporters.

Nigel Farage not being upfront about his dealings?

I'm shocked. Shocked, I say.

what a surprise the milkshake magnet can’t even manage to be upfront about how much his various grifts and bribes bring in.

I feel like undeclared political funding should simply be forfeit to the treasury upon discovery, probably with a fine on top

This seems like a pretty clear avenue for abuse, and look, our future abuser is using it.
